The Miccosukee District serves all units north of 54th Ave and up to Clearwater and Safety Harbor. The north boundary line starts in the east going up the Tarpon Outfall Canal to Curlew Road. Then the line follows Curlew to US 19 and goes south to SR 580 where it goes west to Belcher. The line then follows Belcher south to where it would intersect with Union, following Union west across the Intercostal Waterway, crossing the islands on the south edge of Caladesi Island State Park.

Focus areas include subjects such as camping, fundraising, local events, JTE, advancement, tips on how to better run your unit, plus an open discussion where anyone can ask anything about Scouting. Family Friends of Scouting
This is the time of year when your district volunteers are doing the Family Friends of Scouting campaign for 2014. If you have not been contacted yet to schedule your Friends of Scouting campaign you will be shortly. As you know, Family Friends of Scouting is an essential part of paying for all the council resources you use during the year, including camp sites, special events like camporee and encampment, training opportunities and much more. The Family Friends of Scouting presentation will take about 15 minutes and should ideally be done at a time when most of the parents will be at a meeting. For a pack, that means Blue and Gold and for a Troop a Court of Honor. We are asking units to designate a committee member to help coordinate the presentation. A special Friends of Scouting council shoulder patch is available to those who make a contribution of $206 to our Friends of Scouting campaign. The council shoulder patch will be presented/mailed when full payment is received; $206 is the council’s cost to keep a youth in Scouting for one year. Donors who contribute $250 or more will also receive a limited edition council shoulder patch featuring the Florida Panther; this edition is limited to 200.
